While the business dates back to 1988, when
it existed as a franchise of a national corporation,
the company changed dynamically when Susan
and Ray Berger purchased it in 1995.
The new owner, Chris Long,
and his brother, Matt Long, Business Manager,
have the same philosophy that has made House
Calls by Magic Maid a success over the years.
A service business helping people to more
fully enjoy their lives by not worrying about
housework.
Long-time employee, Robin Lynn, who joined
the company in 1992, states she was won over
on her first day at the company meeting where
it was agreed that employees could wear pants.
This boosted employee
morale and efficiency and demonstrates the
company's attitude that employees are the
key to the success of the company and that
employees are valued and respected.
